  The 79th Precinct Clergy Council is an organization of faith-based believers who believe that a strong relationship with the community and local precinct is essential to the mental, physical, and spiritual success of our community.  Consisting of spiritual leaders and clergy of diverse backgrounds and experiences we thrive on the collaborative efforts to keep our community safe. It is through these collaborative efforts we seek to become a beacon of light and an agent of change.

We seek to promote, establish, and increase the safety, physical, and spiritual health of the community by serving as a liaison to build and maintain a relationship between the 79th Precinct and our congregations that will lead to positive and productive experiences within the community where we work, worship, and live.

Our role in the community is to assist the precinct in maintaining safety in the community, to share the concerns of the community; to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships between the NYPD and the community; to support and/or sponsor events in the community, especially for our youth and elders; to assist the community in attaining resources and service to improve their quality of life; to offer support, training and network opportunities for clergy within the 79th Precinct.
